Reunion

This past weekend we went to North Carolina to visit family. We had a blast Saturday at the Geitner farm. It was so great to see all my relatives from my mom's side of the family. Thomas and his cousins got absolutely filthy jumping on the trampoline, but the look of sheer joy was worth the dirt. We tried to get him to ride Sunshine the pony, but he wasn't the instant horseman I was hoping for. We all went swimming in the pond and then had a delicious dinner while enjoying a bluegrass band. Unfortunately, we missed all the dancing since we had to get one worn out little boy in bed.

Sunday, Pappa Dad and Paul went fly fishing on the Gorge while Thomas and I visited Granny and Nanny. We had a marvelous lunch with the gang and then had to hit the road to return to reality.

Take Two...

After some schooling from my blogging sister, I figured out how to access more pictures from my laptop. So here are a few from our recent vacation. We had a blast! Lots of sun, sand, water and hummingbirds (a delicious frozen adult beverage). Although Thomas wasn't as comfortable in the water as his cousin, Max, he had fun splashing in the pool and playing in the water fountains. By the end of the week, he was floating around the pool and spelunking behind the waterfalls. He loved playing on the beach, building castles and throwing sand. Another activity that was enjoyed by all was the giant chess. Dad won once, Paul won once and Kinsey won the game where she would try to stand the pieces up faster than Max and Thomas knocked them over.

And so it begins...

Well, here it is. I've been saying I was going to start a blog forever... I guess the first step is the hardest. I'm using my work laptop, so the choice of pictures is very slim. I'll have to either use Paul's laptop or download pictures directly off the camera. I am open to helpful hints (that means you EP) and creative ideas. So it begins...
