Chomp Chomp

Thomas and I had a double date tonight with our neighbor Brooks Connor and soon to arrive Charlie. We had a great time at Coronas where we are all frequent customers and everybody knows everybody. Then it was tub time, books and bed. Just wanted to share a picture of Thomas in his chomp chomp towel.

Tako Sushi

Where the Far East meets the Southwest.

It was girls night out and since Thomas didn't know otherwise, he joined Aunt Afrin and I at Tako Sushi downtown. Here is something you don't see every day - a two year old using chopsticks...to eat nachos...at a sushi bar.

Zoo

We snuck in the zoo a few minutes before closing today and enjoyed the quiet before they closed up. Many animals were already put up, but many were stirring before they got dinner. Thomas was very excited at all the activity and was wide open tearing through the zoo without the crowds. He did creep his Mommy out a bit in the reptile house when he wanted to kiss the rattlesnake. Thank goodness for glass.

The Greatest Show on Earth

We had wonderful time this weekend and my only complaint was it was too short. Friday evening we had Aunt "Afrin" (formerly known as Kee-Kat) over for a fun visit and dinner. Saturday, Paul Thomas and I hiked the new "Swamp Rabbit Trail" down to Cleveland Park to play on the playground and then tour the Greenville Zoo. We know we've been there alot when Thomas knows what animal exhibit is next. That afternoon Nanny and Pappadad came down for a visit on their way to Charleston and we went to Coronas for dinner. Sunday afternoon we went to the Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus. We prepped Thomas and he woke up from his nap asking for "An-muls". The first hour he was totally enthralled but as the show wore on he got bored by the skits that they used to fill in while they cleaned-up/set-up for the next act. He did make it the whole show and we all had a very good time.
