Swim said the Mommy Fishy...

Tonight we started swim lessons at the local YMCA. Thomas had a wonderful time splashing, kicking and playing. We played with balls and jumped off the side. He even went under a few times. Even though we left the pool with chattering teeth he was asking for more. We'll be back next week.

Healthy Eating

Right now Thomas doesn't eat much. His teachers have even commented on his lack of appetite. So when he wants to try squash, we let him try squash. He ate almost the whole thing.
Raw.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!

We celebrated Paul's birthday by having a wonderful dinner at the Cazbah and then walking up Main Street to the Hyatt for Friday Night Jazz where we enjoyed a great band and some fun in the bounce house.

Congratulations Wes and Brooks!

Saturday we had a neighborhood baby shower for Wes and Books Connor. We had wonderful food, drink, cake and company. The kids played together wonderfully and even the grown ups played a few games, like Name that Poo and Baby Animals. We can't wait for Charlie to get here!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX!

We went to Athens to celebrate Max's second birthday. The birthday party was great-the children got to bounce off the walls of a gymnasium full of trampolines, balance beams, foam blocks and slides.

There were bubbles and music, it was chaos...and the kids loved it. Pappada and Uncle Jack made two beautiful cakes to look like a banjo and a drum. Sunday we played outside in the beautiful weather with all the toys and then Thomas and Max took turns driving the Gator.

Snow Day!

Monday morning may as well have been Christmas morning for all the excitement in the air. We had a quick breakfast and went outside to enjoy our winter wonderland.

We joined our neighbors for a (mostly) friendly snowball fight and Thomas joined in by throwing his snowballs at point blank range. He also had fun sabotaging the enemy by knocking down their forts.

In true southern form, we did not have a sled so we made one out of our baby pool (I can't help but think about EOJBC and putting a hole in the washtub! :P ) Thomas didn't seem to care.

Even the dogs had fun!

Snowy Night

It started snowing here about 6:00 pm so we did get to go out for a while and play in the flurries.

Thomas learned how to make and throw snowballs and had a great time throwing the snow at Kudzu to catch and at the fence to go splat!

He also attempted catching snowflakes in his mouth, but found it easier just to pick it up and eat it. Just watch out for yellow snow, Thomas!

We then came in to enjoy some hot chocolate before a hot bath and bedtime.

Snow!

Friday night, Paul Thomas and I went downtown to Blue Ridge Brewery for a wonderful dinner. Afterwards, we went by the toy store, OP Taylors and then took a trolley ride. We ended a great evening with ice cream at the Marble Slab. Saturday morning, we loaded up the dogs and headed to Sunset to visit Nanny, Pappadad, Granny and Annie. The guys had a very successful fishing trip while the ladies and Thomas stayed home, nice and dry. Sunday evening the rain turned to snow and we got a little play time before bedtime. The internet and cable is down but I thought I'd get one picture uploaded (slowly, with my aircard) with more to follow tomorrow.
