Our neighbors invited us to a carnival to raise money for the Center for Developmental Services, so Friday after work we headed downtown for some fun at the fair. In addition to the rides, there were multiple inflatables, a miniature train, a fire engine from the Greenville Fire Department and a pony from Eden Farms. Afterwards, we went to our favorite mexican/sushi restaurant Tako Sushi and had a wonderful dinner.

Saturday we went to Furman University for the annual Scottish Festival. We saw alot of people in kilts, competitors throwing everything from axes to what looked like telephone poles, bagpipes, drums and my favorite, sheep herding trials. Later that evening, we had our neighbors over (with their "big boys") for a cookout. The evening ended with the three boys watching CARS with "Ligh'nee Kwee Kwee" (Lighting McQueen)
Because we hadn't really done anything all weekend, we decided to go hiking on Sunday. We loaded up and drove about 45 minutes to Jones Gap State Park where we hiked, fished, found snakes and salamanders, climbed rocks and generally wore ourselves out.
