Happy Fourth!

We spent the long weekend at Lake Keowee with Nanny, Pappadad, Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Jack, Cousin Kinsey, Cousin Max and Granny. We went to to a neighborhood party Friday and hosted a party Saturday. Afterward, we watched fireworks and had a bonfire. Between all the partying, we played on the beach, in the water and on Pappa's boat. Even Kudzu and Karbin had fun.

Tuesday, I arrived at Thomas's daycare to find an unhappy toddler and an incident report. Apparently he had an accident on the playground and seemed to be in pain so I took him to the pediatrician. She declared him fine and we went home with a sticker. Yesterday, he was still complaining about his shoulder and he had developed some swelling. This morning, Paul took him back to the pediatrician where they sent them to get an X-ray. He indeed had a clean break of his collarbone. He's going to have to wear a brace for a few weeks and should heal in no time. Paul said he was a great sport through the experience though I suspect he will use this "ouchee" to get lots of hugs, toys and sweets!
