Sledding

After all the Christmas festivities, we enjoyed the holiday gift of snow! We all had fun sledding and making snow angels. It got a little competitive and there was a terrible wipeout but everyone came away laughing.

More Christmas!

We had another round of Christmas with Granny, Nanny, Pappa, Aunt Lizzie, Uncle Jack, Kinsey and Max. We are blessed to have such wonderful family and the children were thrilled with all their Christmas goodies.

White Christmas

The snow started while we were loading the truck and it continued all afternoon and evening. A first white Christmas for the kids and a rare treat for the grown-ups!

Santa Came!

Santa was good this year and brought Thomas everything on his list and then some. Thomas was thrilled. Davis got some really neat toys and seemed to have fun amidst the Christmas chaos.

Christmas Stockings

After waking the boys with sparklers, Thomas headed straight to the table to see if Santa ate his cookies. After confirming that he had in fact had a snack at our house, he was able to check out all the loot in his stocking. Even Davis got into the spirit and dumped his goodies. His favorite stocking stuffer? Cheerios.

Santa Claus is coming to town...

Stockings up? Check. Milk? Check. Cookies? Check. Carrots for the reindeer? Check.
What did we forget? Well, Baby Food for the baby reindeer, of course! But they don't fly with Santa. But he needs to take it back to the stable at the North Pole!
Good to know!

Cookies for Santa

It was very serious work as we made cookies for Santa this year.

Thanks!

A big THANKS to everyone for their concern, their prayers and their help. In an effort to keep the holidays exciting, I decided to pass out this morning and had a firetruck, a police car and an ambulance in front of our house at 6:00am. I got to ride in the ambulance (Whooo-hoo) and spend the better part of the day in the ER for what was finally labelled flu-symptoms. As if that wasn't enough, I passed the flu to Julie, Granny and Nanny right before Christmas. Sorry :(

Happy New Years Eve

Well, it wasn't Times Square and we didn't see the ball drop but we did ring in the New Year with some great friends and lots of fun.

Feliz Navidad

After a visit with Santa and a yummy dinner at Coronas, we had a gift exchange with Juju before she headed to Ohio for the holiday. Thanks for our great gifts!

Party! Party!

In a party filled day, Thomas and I started the chilly morning at a horse farm for his friend, Bethany's, birthday party. There were lots of kids and they all played on the playground, horsed around and rode horses (except the birthday girl :) ). Afterwards we drove a short way up the road to Nanny and Pappa's for their annual Christmas party. As usual it was a great party with lots of good food and drink!

Thomas and Mommy had a fun Date to go see Tangled. He really "liked the girl with glowing hair"

Cousin Visit!

Thomas LOVES his cousins! He loves Nanny, Pappa, Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Jack, too but he was so excited to hear they were coming to Greenville to go to the Bilo Center to see Princesses on Ice (again). After the show, we had a yummy dinner at Flatrock Grill and then headed to Roper Mountain Lights. Not quite Lanier Lights but we're so glad they came!

Today, I joined Thomas'class for Disney on Ice at the Bilo Center. Since we had just returned from Disney World, Thomas was happy to wear his ears and enjoy the show!

Trim the Tree

We cut a gorgeous tree from Highlands, NC, brought it home in a protected truck bed, bought a new tree stand from Orvis and had two precious elves to decorate it. All this equals one spectacular tree. The new stand made putting it up a cinch (although you can tell from our ceiling we underestimated our tree's size) and the stand's reservoir told us that our past trees' died of thirst. Our tree this year only dropped a few needles all season and looked as spectacular the day we took it down as the day we put it up!

Oh, Christmas Tree

Nanny, Pappa and Annie joined us for a trip to Cashiers to cut a Christmas tree. We picked a cold rainy day to go but the tree sure was beautiful!

Roper Mountain Lights

To kick off the Christmas season, the Conns, the Brewers and the Pitmans enjoyed the beautiful lights at Roper Mountain. The kids also got an exciting interview with the BIG MAN!

Disney World 2010

The Pits, the Pats and the Puts met in Florida for a whirlwind Thanksgiving vacation. If anyone can successfully navigate 12 people through 4 parks in 6 days with very few meltdowns...It is us! We had a WONDERFUL time and made some great memories! The children had a blast, even Davis, and we could never begin to thank Nanny and Pappadad enough for making this all possible.
WE LOVE YOU!

Showing Off Greenville

Saturday, we went downtown and met with Julie and her friends Mary and Joseph, who drove up from Elberton to visit and see the sights in Greenville. It was a beautiful day at the Reedy River and we had a lovely visit.
