The Augusta Circle Circus is a festival that I enjoyed as a child and this is the fourth year Thomas has been and Davis made his first trip. Thomas spent over an hour in the bouncehouse and had fun with silly string and even won at the dunk tank. Davis didn't seem all that impressed (yet!)
Tonight Thomas was playing with his toy police car, the one that has sound effects, and he pushed the button that says "Freeze, You're Under Arrest". He then informed me that meant he was under a blanket. You know...A REST.
The belly button finally fell off so it was BATHTIME! So away with the spit up on the neck, the tinkle on the tummy and the poo on the hiney. Davis actually seemed to enjoy it and didn't fuss at all.
Davis took his first roadtrip as we headed to the mountains to visit Nanny and Pappadad. The weather was beautiful and we took a hike and a boat ride. Thomas even got to drive Pappa's boat.
Although we got rained out opening night, we did make it to a Greenville Drive game opening week. As always, Thomas had a blast on the playground, we enjoyed hot dogs and peanuts, and the Drive won. New record - we made it to the seventh inning stretch.
She's been dying to come see Davis and was planning on coming the Thursday before Easter. Unfortunately, she got sick and postponed her trip until the Monday after Easter. We sure missed her Easter weekend. As if that wasn't enough, the first night she was here she hurt her tooth (Thanks Frodo's!) and spent the next two days going back and forth to the dentist. We did have some fun with the boys at the zoo, the park and Pete's.
In preparation for Easter, we boiled eggs (only broke two), colored them, and dyed them (broke one). What eggs were left were beautiful and Thomas was very proud of them.
